Book of Lists Cover

PhotomediaVR.com first conceived this “digital mirror” graphic in November of 1999 for a lobby display at the Institute for Human Performance, and a second version as a self-promotional piece. We created the photography and digital imagery in our “Storytelling” style. Here you are looking at a third version used as the cover of the CNY Business Journal’s publication “The Book of Lists, 2000” for which we describe the meaning of our image as follows:

“The opportunities for Central New York continue to look upward for the years 2000 and beyond. Using the dramatic entry of Upstate Medical University’s new “Institute for Human Performance” as a digital mirror, we look at some of the icons of our home.

We have a community rich with domestic and global business opportunities, outstanding educational and healthcare institutions, an established infrastructure, a talented workforce, and we are blessed with a diverse cultural and recreational environment.

Represented in our CNY imagery from top to bottom is the global marketing icon of Anaren Microwave, followed by the famous Crouse College tower at Syracuse University. The craftsman of MGI Products, is welding high quality quartz carriers, used worldwide in the production of computer chips. The Syracuse Chamber of Commerce is always actively recruiting jobs and conventions, while enhancing CNY businesses for companies of today and tomorrow. Some of our community enjoyment is provided by the annual Jamesville Balloon Festival and the world renown Everson Museum of Art. The “NOC” room, Network Operations Center, at Telergy, gives you a peek inside one of Upstate New York’s fastest growing national telecommunications’ business success stories.”

Anaren Microwave Booth

This multi-task trade show display for Anaren, introduces their new Global Imagery for both Wireless and Satellite / Defense businesses. The display is totally versatile for both 10 and 20 foot configurations for both divisions. All concept, design, photography, digital imagery, digital printing, mounting, laminating, building of the custom display units and all hardware was produced by PhotomediaVR.com. Costs of production were “Amortized” (that Photomedia favorite word) with multiple image uses in a portable VR QuickShade display for the European Anaren office, a Digital Table, web and advertising images as well as press release and catalog uses.

Tizwhiz Feeds

Effectively designing several VR QuickShade portable trade show images for Tizwhiz Feeds, led us to twenty new projects. These have included Dog Feed packaging design where we built a barn set for photography in our studio, to POP’s, to presentation graphics, to Steer and other animal “Show Feed” projects, to national magazine ads, and more... currently including Virtual Reality promotions. The combined PhotomediaVR.com skills of marketing strategy, photography, digital imagery, digital printing and the rest, made us the perfect graphics design partner for Tizwhiz! We even designed frog feed for a future product (as a joke). By the way Dr. Tiznick was the company’s founder, and he is the guru of animal nutrition from Ohio State University - for real!

Harza Engineering Gamma Knife Project

Another PhotomediaVR storytelling opportunity. The Harza Group in Utica, NY retained us to photograph this unique Gamma Knife facility at NY's Health Science Center, and create a digital montage for trade show and presentation applications. This graphic technique is one of our specialties, and when shooting the location photography, we always seek opportunities to capture views that allows our client to relay the story behind the story, to their potential clients. It was very well received, and has led to several other projects for Harza and us. Final output size was 35 inches square to fit a portable trade show booth format. It was printed on our 1200 DPI, eight color digital printer, mounted and laminated for display. Files were written to CD for additional client uses.

Palisades Mall Brochure, West Nyack, New York

This project is amazing and we don't want to do another like this. Why? It was completed from start to finish in fifteen days, (OK sixteen if you count the day we were hired). Really! This includes the concept, photography, design, scanning, layout, copywriting, editing, production of all files, (all by PhotomediaVR) and then printing of 5,000 copies. It was used at the Shopping Center Convention in New York City, and in addition, we produced 4x10 foot, high quality trade show graphics from the center spread files. It came out perfectly, but we don't want another challenge like this!

Armstrong Mold Brochure

Reinforcement of a corporation’s image is important, especially when only a small volume of advertising is budgeted. We created the Muscle Man squeezing the parts out of the monitor to signify Armstrong’s powerful parts production capabilities that start with computer designed files. This imagery was used in the brochure, as a 6 x 10 foot backlit transparency in their trade show booth, in domestic and international ads, and soon to appear as a Virtual Reality moving image on their website home page and in marketing Powerpoint presentations. Reinforced and amortized, this program has brought tremendous response and “Memorability” to Armstrong.
